Dried Beef Pizza

INGREDIENTS FOR THE DOUGH:

  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour;
  • 1 cup (tea) of milk;
  • ½ cup (tea) of oil;
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder;
  • 1 level teaspoon of salt;
  • 1 beaten egg.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE FILLING:

  • 500g of dried beef;
  • 1 onion, chopped into small pieces;
  • 6 cloves of crushed garlic;
  • 2 ripe tomatoes;
  • Black or red pepper to taste;
  • ½ cup (tea) of clarified butter;
  • Cooked and chopped arugula to taste;
  • 2 cups (tea) of grated mozzarella cheese;
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs.

DOUGH PREPARATION:

1 - In a bowl, mix all the dough ingredients well;

2 - Grease and flour a large pizza pan;

3 - Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and place it in the pan.

FILLING PREPARATION:

1- Cook the dried beef in a pressure cooker for about 20 minutes, let it cool slightly;

2- Using a fork, shred the dried beef;

3- Heat a pan, add the onion, tomato, and garlic. Add the shredded dried beef;

4- Sauté everything, adding black pepper or red pepper to taste;

5- When it's ready, add the clarified butter and let it cook for about five minutes, stirring constantly.

ASSEMBLY:

1 - Preheat the oven to 180º.

2 - Fill the dough in this order:

1st Tomato sauce;

2nd Mozzarella;

3rd Eggs;

4th Shredded dried beef.

3 - Bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.

CHEF'S TIP: Brush the edge of the pizza with egg yolk.

PREPARATION TIME: 1 hour

YIELD: 8 slices.
